Aaman Devgan Prepares Intensively with Azaad the Horse for His Debut Action Adventure ‘Azaad’
Posted on 11 Jan, 2025
Actor Aaman Devgan is gearing up for his grand Bollywood debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s action-adventure film, Azaad. Since the release of the film’s trailer, Aaman has received praise for his compelling portrayal of a village boy, and audiences are eagerly anticipating his performance in the movie, which is slated for a theatrical release on January 17, 2025. The film delves into the heartwarming bond between the protagonist, played by Aaman, and his loyal horse companion, Azaad, who stands by him through life’s ups and downs.
To authentically portray this unique relationship, Aaman underwent rigorous training to connect with Azaad and master horse riding. His preparation went far beyond the usual, involving spending significant time with Azaad, sharing meals, and even sleeping in the stable to build trust and understanding. Aaman’s dedication extended to cleaning Azaad’s stall himself, spending over 100 hours with the horse to form a genuine bond. This camaraderie was evident at the trailer launch event, where the actor gave Azaad an affectionate peck, further showcasing their connection. Even after the film’s shoot wrapped up, Aaman continued to spend time with Azaad, deepening their special bond.
Speaking about his preparation, Aaman shared, “I’m extremely fond of horses, and when I heard the script of the movie, I knew in my heart I had to do it. I decided to devote my time to understanding Azaad, his moods, his routine, and his body language to ensure it looks absolutely real onscreen. Before the shoot began, I spent time with Azaad, had my meals with him, and even slept in his stable. I spent over 10 days with him during the shoot schedule. I even cleaned his stool myself to make him comfortable and build the foundation of trust. It was an enriching experience, and I learned so much about horses. Apart from horse riding, spending time with Azaad made my scenes effortless.”
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, Azaad is set to be an emotional journey celebrating the unbreakable bond between humans and animals. The film, a tale of love, loyalty, and courage, is set to hit cinemas on January 17, 2025.
