Aamir Khan To Announce Winners Of Cinestaan India's Storytellers Script Contest!
Actor Aamir Khan, who is on the jury of the Cinestaan India's Storytellers Script Contest along with writer-director Raju Hirani and screenwriters Juhi Chaturvedi and Anjum Rajabali (Jury Chairperson), will announce the winners of the first edition of the script contest, which saw more than 3500 aspiring and new screenwriters from across India, competing for the big prizes, on November 26th in Mumbai. The top cash prize is Rs. 25 lakh, while the total prize amount is Rs. 50 lakh. 

Rohit Khattar, Chairman of Cinestaan Digital Pvt. Ltd. says, "We are delighted by the overwhelming response by the contestants and so grateful for the commitment shown by our eminent jury members. This year, the box office has shown that well-written films are getting the audiences back to the theaters. With this contest, we are trying to ensure that the film industry is never short on good writing or good writers and the spotlight is put on deserving talent through this contest and our Script Bank.”
Jury Chairperson, Anjum Rajabali adds, “This Contest was just the kind of booster shot needed for Indian screenwriting, to attract and encourage writers to give of their best to their story ideas. Quite simply, what the film industry needs desperately is good scripts and determined writers! Our unstinted gratitude to Cinestaan for organising this contest."  

Not only will the winners receive their cash prizes, they will also have the opportunity to pitch their scripts to studios and production houses. 
 
‘Cinestaan India’s Storytellers Script Contest’ which has been launched by Cinestaan Digital Pvt. Ltd. is India’s biggest Script Contest to date. Apart from cash prizes worth Rs. 50 lakh, some of the best scripts shall be included in the Cinestaan Script Bank – a treasure trove that Studios & Production Houses can delve into and directly liaise with the writers, who often find it difficult to get their work across.
