Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer 1994 Blockbuster, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is one of the classic iconic films of Hindi Cinema. Nisha & Prem became an iconic Jodi in the 90s. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun went to record highest Box Office earnings in the 90s. 

Recently, at a media interaction, when the question was quipped to Madhuri Dixit that who she thinks will be the perfect Jodi from young crop of actors to portray Prem & Nisha, if HAHK is remade, she was confident on Alia & Varun to be the Prem & Nisha.
Madhuri Dixit, "I feel it's the way the characters are written, that is what is important. our writers are the most important part in film making because the way they write the scenes ,the  dialogues, the way they will write the characters that determines the chemistry between 2 actors. You can't create a chemistry,  just because you know each other, it has to be well written,well directed, so for me anybody can play that role."

When put a thought, that can Alia & Varun do justice playing the iconic characters, Madhuri Dixit  quoted,  "Alia and Varun can easily play Nisha and Prem, because she is a very good actress,she can get into any role and make it her own. So yes definitely they will be good."
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are the most loved "Jodi" of this generation. Right from their debut film "Student Of The Year" the duo became an instant favourite of the masses. Their chemistry was termed HIT when their films "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya" not only garnered rave reviews from the audiences and critics but also attracted Impressive collections, setting the Box- Office  on a roll.
