Anand Kumar: I Was Threatened With My Life Many Times Ever Since This Film Came Into Inception!
Mathematician and renowned teacher Anand Kumar is the main inspiration behind the Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30. He is known for his Super 30 programme and empowering the lives of several underprivileged kids. 

Recently Anand Kumar got candid with us for an interview where he spoke to us in great detail about how the ideation of the film Super 30 came through and of Hrithik Roshan stepping into his shoes. 

When we quipped him on how the film came through, he said, 'It all started when Sanjeev Dutta (scriptwriter of the film) saw one of my interviews on my Super 30 programme and decided to make a film on this whole context which was around 9 years back. But soon he and Anurag Basu got busy with films like Barfi and Jagga Jasoos and nothing materialized.'
He further went on to say, 'But soon when again, things got back to track, I was approached by the makers but I was very clear on one thing that I would decide the director, script writer and the actor for the film.' 

When he spoke on Hrithik Roshan stepping into his shoes for the film, he said, 'When Hrithik Roshan was being considered for the part, everyone said it would look odd. Hrithik is such a handsome actor, like a Greek God and I'm just a man with ordinary looks. But when Hrithik Roshan heard the story, he was so interested in the film that he asked for at least a year to prep for it. There were many actors who wanted to do the film but Hrithik was so dedicated that I could think of nobody  else but him for the part.'

Not many know that Anand Kumar was also threatened many times with his life when the film was being made. He said, 'I was threatened many times with my life and even my brother was run over by a truck which almost tore his leg. These were done by people who were against my work and ideals as my work was clearly threatening their agenda. People I didn't know were threatening me with lawsuits.'

The film Super 30 will be based on the famous Super 30 programme of Anand Kumar. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Nandish Sandhu in pivotal roles.
