Ankita Lokhande Gets Candid About Exploring Both Television And Films!
Ankita Lokhande is on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. The television actress who makes her foray into Bollywood with this film plays Jhalkari Bai who was a aide to Rani Laxmibai.

Ankita became a household name with the TV show Pavitra Rishta where she played Archana. When we asked the pretty actress whether she had to unlearn her television escapades to make her debut in films, here's what she said. She said, 'No, not really. While doing Pavitra Rishta also, there were a lot of things which I learnt because I was not an actress so when I was coming into Bollywood, I was little trained already. It is because TV taught me everything.'
She further added, 'What I am today, is only because of TV. It was because of Pavitra Rishta. I was never an actress. I never knew what is acting. Pavitra ne thoda bohot sikhaya mujhe so the transformation from TV to Bollywood was not that difficult for me in terms of performance. The only thing which changed for me is the camera. The camera angles were different this time than what it is on television. But the level of hard work was the same.'

On a concluding note, she said, 'The hard work on TV was more. In the film industry, you get time to prepare your scenes. You get your scenes 10 days before even if you have just one dialogue in it. But in television, I have performed a 15 page scene on the spot. But here in Bollywood, its quite cool and chilled out. I now know both the mediums and to do a big historic film like this is not easy. So you get a lot of time to prepare. Its kind of different but it was fun.'

The film stars Kangana Ranaut in the pivotal role as Rani Laxmibai. The film also stars Danny Denzongpa, Jissu Sengupta and Atul Kulkarni in pivotal roles. It will be releasing on January 25th, 2019.
