Ayushmann Khurrana: I Did Not Take Reference From Any Bollywood Film For My Character!
Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to play a cop for the first time in the film Article 15. The film will see him battling caste discrimination in the society. Earlier many Bollywood actors have played a cop in their films like Salman Khan in Dabangg or Ajay Devgn in Singham.

Since this is the first time, he is playing a cop, we quipped Ayushmann if he took any reference from a cop film for inspiration. To this he replied, 'I did not take reference from any Bollywood film for the role because its a very real film but I met real cops for the film. I have a friend, Mr Manoj Malviya who is an IPS officer in Delhi. He has been my friend for the past four years. So I went to his office and observed everything about how he talks, walks and salutes also.'
He further added, 'you know, we see every police officer saluting every 2 mins so actually they have other work also instead of just saluting (laughs). We've kept it in a real space. I was not only inspired by filmy cops but real cops too.'

The film is directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film also stars Isha Talwar and Sayani Gupta in pivotal roles. The film revolves around the issue of caste discrimination in the society. It will soon be hitting the theatres on June 28th, 2019.
