Choreographer Ashley Lobo’s Inversion Regales Audiences In The Capital City!
Ashley Lobo’s dance company teams up with The Japan Foundation and Suchet Malhotra. 

The audiences of Delhi were in for a treat on Valentine’s Day, as eminent dance visionary and choreographer Ashley Lobo presented the audiences with a stunning contemporary piece called ‘Inversion’ performed by a renowned Japanese artist Yuko Harada at the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts.
Ashley Lobo who has choreographed for a number of films and the Artistic Director of Navdhara India Dance Theatre (NIDT) directed ‘Inversion - Never as it is...’ by teaming up with The Japan Foundation. Yuko Harada who very gracefully performed the intricately designed choreography has been an ex-principal dancer of Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and also has featured in the 10th Stuttgart Solo Tanz Theater Festival Competition in 2006. Yuko now serves as Program Advisor for the Lyrical and Modern Dance Division of ‘The Danceworx’ and ‘Navdhara India Dance Theatre’.
Ashley has been synonymous with his work and his unique technique called the ‘Prana Paint Technique’, a sensitizing approach that explores movement through connectivity, yoga, breath and touch to help the dancers go deeper within and commit to themselves. Says Ashley, “I feel thrilled to have directed this piece. It was an insightful experience teaming up with The Japan Foundation, Yuko and all the dancers.”

With music by Suchet Malhotra, an international percussionist and music producer who has worked with international choreographers like Pina Bauch and Sheela Raj among others and also the artistic leader at Ethnos in Europe and founder of Ethno India, Ashley Lobo and his entire team mesmerized the crowds who had come to watch this beautiful piece.
