Deepika Padukone Spill The Beans On Playing Ranveer Singh's Wife In The Film '83, Read On To Know More!
Deepika Padukone will soon be joining husband Ranveer Singh in London where they will be shooting for the film '83 wherein Deepika will be playing his wife. Deepika will be essaying the role of Kapil Dev's wife Romi Dev and she revealed in a recent interview about the same saying, “I am so glad that Kabir (Khan) came to me with it. This happened a couple of months ago when he was still casting the boys for the film. It’s just that I was busy with Chhappak and we were waiting for the right moment to make the announcement."

Deepika Padukone was also quipped on sharing the screen space with Ranveer for the first time after being married to him to which she said, 'When you are in the business of movies, you are playing a character. Of course, all of this is yet to play out, but at the end of the day, you are essaying a role, and at that point, you are not thinking whether your co-actor is your husband, brother or someone you know closely. All you try to do is, be honest in that moment.'

Deepika also said that she could not think of anyone else other than Ranveer Singh who could have done justice to the role. Deepika recently wrapped up the shoot of her film Chhappak. The film 83 is one of the most awaited films of next year. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harddy Sandhu in pivotal roles.
