DeepVeer Wedding: When The Italians Started Speaking Hindi And Konkani At The DeepVeer Wedding!

Well, we have not still come out from the hangover of the DeepVeer wedding. As soon as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh released their first wedding pictures, we could not stop admiring them. The couple first got married in a Konkani ceremony, then in a Anand Kiraj ceremony. Both the bride and groom are just royalty personified in the pictures.

We still cannot believe that our Ram and Leela are united for life. The Anad Kiraj ceremony also included a makeshift Gurudwara at the Villa Del Balbianello and a priest was flown down from Amritsar for the rituals. The whole wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. In the Konkani wedding, Deepika was wearing a saffron, gold and ivory saree by Sabyasachi paired with a mathapatti and a gorgeous choker while Ranveer donned a white kurta and mundu. The cuisine included a traditional Mangalorean feast and food was served in banana leaves but the special thing was the Italian staff at the wedding too were dressed in a South Indian attire. According to sources, the Italian staff were also trained in Konkani and Hindi languages and were seen greeting the guests while speaking in Hindi and Konkani. Also the Italian staff were fully well versed with the names of the South Indian dishes. Well this is called sheer perfection.

Deepika Padukone's favorite drink, the special filter coffee was flown in from Bengaluru to Italy. The guests were served filter coffee as their welcome drink. A South Indian chef was also flown in from Karnataka to retain the authenticity of the dishes. For the Sindhi wedding, the cuisine included delicacies like sindhi kadhi chawal, dal pakwan, sev barfi and much more. Deepika looked lovely as the Sindhi bride as she wore a red Sabyasachi lehenga pairing it up with a maangtika, statement nathni and a kaleerein.

Well we cannot stop gushing over these newly weds. After 6 years of dating, this beautiful couple entered marital bliss and we wish them a happy married life.
