Diljit Dosanjh On Being Accepted In Bollywood From The Punjabi Film Industry!
Diljit Dosanjh is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming film Shadaa. The actor will be seen opposite Neeru Bajwa in the film which will be their fifth collaboration. Diljit has left a strong impact in the Bollywood film industry since his debut Udta Punjab (2016).

He then, went on to prove his niche in films like Phillauri and Soorma. The actor is a huge name in the Punjabi film industry so recently in an interview, we quipped him on whether he is fully accepted by the Bollywood film industry. To which he said, 'No, I don't have any complaints regarding that aspect. Wherever I go, people here in the industry have been very warm and nice to me. I was never treated like an outsider and did not have any bad experience in Bollywood regarding my acceptance.'
Diljit also further revealed that why he rejects a lot of big Bollywood films in the industry. He said, 'I only had one perception and still have that I want to do really powerful roles, I don’t want to do films where I have nothing to do. I only have one thing in my mind that my Punjabi fans who love my songs or films shouldn’t feel, ‘oh what has he done and why has he done it? Better he could have done a  good Punjabi film’.

He added by saying, 'A good film is a good film be it is in Punjabi or Hindi and same goes with a bad film, so it's better that I do a good Punjabi film than doing a bad Hindi film. So even today, I only have one condition and that if it’s a good film I will definitely do it and it’s not necessary that it should be a big film, if my role is not that great so what’s the use of being a part of that film.' He also hinted that once to not upset a biggie (Karan Johar) of the industry, he accepted a big film (Welcome to New York) which did not turn out to be a huge success.

Diljit will soon be seen in the film Good News. He will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani in the film.
