Diljit Dosanjh: The Punjabi Film Fraternity Started Flourishing Just A Few Years Back!
Posted on 15 Jul, 2019
Diljit Dosanjh will soon be seen in the film Arjun Patiala. He is currently in a promotional spree for the film wherein he will be seen opposite Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma. He will be playing a cop in the much awaited spoof comedy.
In a recent interview, we quipped him on why the Punjabi film industry took time to flourish unlike Bollywood. To this he replied, 'The Punjabi film fraternity started flourishing just a few years back, around 2011 or 2012. In the past, there were just few films made out there. Unlike that, Bollywood has always been the hub of Indian cinema and many Punjabi directors, producers and actors have made it big out here.'
He further added, 'The Hindi language in Bollywood films is spoken and understood by everyone so this industry is fast flourishing. So, people tend to run to places which are fast developing.'
The film is directed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan. It is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. The film will be releasing on July 26th, 2019 and will see a clash with the Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya.
