Aamir Khan celebrates his 54th birthday today today. He celebrated his birthday by cutting the cake and interacting with the media at his Bandra residence. He was joined in by his wife Kiran Rao. Well, the actor had many surprises for his fans on his special day. 

For one, the superstar revealed that his birthday wish from his fans is to vote as every dutiful citizen of the country. Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged both Aamir Khan and Salman Khan to create awareness amongst his followers to vote this elections. He had tweeted,
It is time to inspire and motivate youth in your own Andaz to vote so that we can strengthen Apna Democracy & Apna country.' Aamir today urged his fans saying, 'My birthday wish will be for everyone to go and vote and be part of this famed democracy of our nation. It is the prime duty of every citizen of the country.'

Aamir Khan also went on to announce his latest film, Lal Singh Chadha. Talking about the film he said, 'My upcoming film will be titled Lal Singh Chadha. The prep for the film will go on for some months. It will be presented jointly by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18. The film is an adaptation of the Hollywood film Forest Gump. We have already taken the rights from Paramount.'

Aamir was also quipped on whether he would like to work on the film Sare Jahan Se Acha which he was originally offered before Shah Rukh Khan who recently walked out of the film. To this he said, ' For now, my only focus is Lal Singh Chadha. This is the only film I'm doing now.'

Aamir Khan will soon head off to North Ireland to attend the Belfast Film Festival. His 54th birthday seemed like a fun combination of fun and merriment.
