Ranveer Singh Agreed To Do Jayeshbhai Jordaar For This Reason...
Jayeshbhai Jordaar's trailer makes an interesting case for hackneyed patriarchy and impending social issues that need mainstream attention. Divyang Thakkar who is making his directorial debut with Jayeshbhai Jordaar revealed on his film's trailer launch about the conceptualization and then execution of his film.

While interacting with the press, Divyang Thakkar admitted not having the slightest clue about his film being accepted and then produced by India's biggest production company.

Yash Raj films, who is known for producing some of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema, is selective and careful while choosing a project. When Divyang Thakkar wrote Jayeshbhai Jordaar he wasn't sure if his product would garner attention or not, yet he drafted his story to Namrata Rao who is also the editor of the film.

Namrata Rao casually mentioned Jayeshbhai Jordaar to Maneesh Sharma, who then immediately called him for further discussion. Soon Maneesh Sharma organized a meeting with Yash Raj Films. The whole process happened in quick succession, within two days he was sitting in Yash Raj films office discussing the future of Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

But what was extremely unbelievable for Divyang Thakkar is Ranveer Singh's association with the film. Divyang proudly stated that he didn't narrate the film to Singh with the intention of something big happening, he was in there enjoying the whole process of narration. However, somewhere he knew he had found Jayeshbhai.

Ranveer Singh reacted affirmatively. He said from page two he was so engrossed in the whole story that he couldn't stop himself from shedding a tear or two during the whole narration. He felt all the emotions of Jayeshbhai. Ranveer Singh wanted the best for Jayeshbhai because he thought of that character as someone of his own. Ranveer Singh even started enacting the scenes as the story went forward, creating a surreal moment for both the director and actor.

Ranveer Singh without even a second's hesitation agreed to play Jayeshbhai. The producers who deemed Ranveer to be busy were also shocked by his prompt answer. When the narration ended, Singh and Thakkar tearfully hugged each other as the canvas had found the right colors, or in Ranveer's case all the colors.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be released in Hindi on 13 May 2022. It is under the banner of Yash Raj Films and stars Ranveer Singh, Shalini Pandey, Ratna Shah Pathak, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. This effective social issue film by director Divyang Thakkar might be another gem of a story in Indian cinema.
