Shelly Chopra Dhar On Finding Inspiration Behind Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga!
Shelly Chopra Dhar has made her directorial debut with the film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The film starring Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla has received praises for being touted as the most 'unique' love story of the year. The filmmaker got candid with us in a latest interview and revealed how the ideation of the film came by. 

Talking to us about the film, she said, 'This subject is very close to my heart. This subject has not been showcased in the right spirit in the Indian film industry. It has earlier be shown in either a derogatory fashion or a comic relief way. This often has the opposite effect on the people who see what the characters are doing and they come out and laugh, thinking it is something to be laughed at.' 
She further added, 'I wanted to make a film which was full of love and entertainment without getting too preachy or putting anybody down. I wanted to present the subject in a way on which they really need to be presented.' 

The film also stars Abhishek Duhan, Madhumalti Kapoor, Seema Pahwa and Brijendra Pahwa in pivotal roles. The film released on February 1st at the box office.
