Seems like the combination of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh has managed to strike gold at the box office. The film Simmba has opened up to a phenomenal first day. The trailer and the songs connected well with the masses. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood. The film also has a blockbuster cameo by Ajay Devgn as Singham.

The film has had an impressive opening. The first day collection of the film amounts to Rs 20.72 crore which is quite a huge number. The numbers are expected to go higher this holiday season.

Shah Rukh Khan's Zero released last week which witnessed an opening of Rs 20.14 crore. We must say this Ranveer Singh starrer has posed a serious threat to the SRK starrer Zero due to its phenomenal opening. Well, it will be interesting to see who will emerge victorious at the box office.
