Sushant Singh Rajput took to his instagram to share a video unveiling his next film Rifleman. He captioned the video saying,
The actor announced the film on the occasion of Army Day. The video opens in a battleground scenario with the roaring of bullets. Sushant Singh Rajput plays the male protagnist.

Sushant has kickstarted the promotions for his upcoming film Sonchiriya. He will be starring opposite Manoj Bajpayee, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana in the film. The backdrop of the film revolves around the dacoits in Chambal and the film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey. The trailer of the film was also released recently. The gritty trailer received appreciation from the critics. The film is set in the 1970s period. 

Sushant Singh Rajput was last seen in the film Kedarnath alongside debutante Sara Ali Khan. The film was directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The film was a love story set against the backdrop of the Uttarakhand floods.
