Bollywood and sequels go hand in hand. We have seen some blockbuster films getting a sequel which is not a rare sight and now we hear the 2012 Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha film Rowdy Rathore is all set to get a sequel.

The makers have been quoted as saying, 'We are in the process of writing Rowdy Rathore 2 right now and inshallah, it will feature Akshay Kumar in the lead.' However, there is no conformation on whether Sonakshi Sinha will again step into the shoes as leading lady for the sequel. Now, this is truly an exciting news for all the Akshay Kumar fans. The film will reportedly go on floors in 2020. The film was a blockbuster at the box office. It saw Akshay Kumar playing a dual role.

The film was directed by Prabhudeva and also had some superhit soundtracks. Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for the Rohit Shetty directorial Sooryavanshi opposite Katrina Kaif.
