This Is Why Pakistan Has Filed A Petition To Remove Priyanka Chopra As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador!
Priyanka Chopra was anointed as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in the year 2016. But recently an online petition has been filed against the actress in Pakistan to remove her as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Apparently, the petition against the actress was signed after one of her tweets wherein she congratulated the Indian Armed Forces for the surgical strike conducted by them on Pakistan in February 26th, 2019.

The surgical strike was performed on the terrorist base camps of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pakistan. The strike was done in retaliation to the horrifying Pulwama terror attacks which had cost the life of more than 40 CRPF personnel. PeeCeehad tweeted soon after the strike saying, 'Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces.' The petition was mainly filed because Priyanka supported and cheered for war despite of being the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and thus, the petition demands that she be removed from this post. They have also mentioned the UN and the UNICEF in the online petition.
The petition is published on a site called Avaaz.org and it reads, 'War between two nuclear powers can only lead to destruction & death. As goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to stay neutral & peaceful but her tweet in favour of Indian arm forces after they invaded Pakistan airspace shows otherwise. She doesn’t deserve this title anymore.'

Priyanka Chopra has not given any official statement on this ongoing controversy. Do you think the petition against the actress is justified?
