Upasana Kamineni Konidela and Ram Charan’s Corporate Wellness Revolution
Posted on 24 Sep, 2024
Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals and Managing Director of URLife, alongside global star Ram Charan, co-founder of URLife, are spearheading a wellness transformation in India’s corporate sector. Their approach transcends traditional health models, integrating wellness into everyday corporate life. Ram Charan’s international fame complements Upasana’s vision, bringing a global perspective to corporate well-being, blending modern technology with a holistic ethos.
Their venture, URLife, is not merely a wellness platform but a movement. It promotes healthier living through technology-driven solutions, offering a wide array of services including virtual doctor consultations, medicine deliveries, and personalized fitness programs tailored to busy professionals. URLife’s initiatives are reshaping India’s workforce through over 550 Occupational Health Centres (OHCs), supporting the well-being of more than two million employees.
In a recent partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), URLife has elevated corporate wellness. The collaboration, spanning 94 HPCL sites, introduces a comprehensive health ecosystem featuring weekly doctor visits, 24/7 virtual support, and emergency care. This program extends to employees' families, fostering a holistic culture of wellness through regular health webinars and innovative programs.
“Health is the foundation of a thriving society,” says Upasana. “Our partnership with HPCL is about empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being, making wellness accessible and essential in everyday life. We’re transforming workplaces into healthier, happier environments.”
HPCL’s HR Director, Shri KS Shetty, echoes this sentiment: “This partnership represents a pioneering effort in corporate wellness. Together, HPCL and URLife are shaping the next generation of healthcare, ensuring medical support reaches every employee.”
Ram Charan’s passion for wellness goes beyond the physical realm, advocating for both mental well-being and fitness. His involvement has amplified URLife’s influence, turning it into a movement with international impact.
Beyond services, Upasana is focused on creating inclusive ecosystems. Her initiative for female entrepreneurs in wellness, modeled after a “shark tank” concept, supports women innovators, driving social impact and reshaping the future of the wellness industry and business leadership.
Ram Charan and Upasana’s mission extends beyond health services. By creating occupational health centers and entrepreneurial platforms, they are building environments where health, inclusivity, and innovation thrive.
