Why Jacqueline Fernandez Stayed In The Hammam For Five Hours For Mere Angne Mein?
The runaway success of  T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar’s Mere Angne Mein has got everyone sit up and take notice of the unique twist to the popular folk song.  Mere Angne Mein was instantly trending at number 1 on YouTube on the day of its release and has now hit the 30 million views mark on YouTube.

What you may not know is the effort and labour that actor Jacqueline Fernandez put to make it look the way it did on its release earlier this week.

Vinay Sapru, who has directed the video along with Radhika Rao says, “In our long career we have worked with so many artistes but the kind of commitment and dedication this girl displayed on the 3-4 days of the shoot was something else.”

It has now been learnt that for the scene in the palace Hammam, Jacqueline who plays a warrior princess in the video stayed put in the pool of water for five hours at a stretch. Sapru adds, “She understood our problem. Re-framing the scenes and rearranging the props in the water body was a lengthy process and we were shooting against a tight deadline. So she did not step out of the pool at all. She got out only when we announced pack-up. We are extremely thankful and appreciative of her for understanding our lengthy and difficult process as directors and for co-operating with us without complaining even once.”

Jacqueline told the directors, “Do whatever you want. Do whatever you feel is good for the song, I’ll be there for you.”

The splendid result is for all to see.

Sung by Neha Kakkar and Raja Hasan with music by Tanishk Bagchi, written by Vayu, the colourful, dance number Mere Angne Mein has been creating waves ever since it was released on March 9.
