“Women Can Do Everything And More Beautifully Than Men,” Says Shah Rukh Khan On Ted Talks India Nayi Baat!
Posted on 16 Nov, 2019

Star Plus’ show TED Talks India Nayi Baat is heading towards its 3rd week and the theme for this weekend’s episode is Bharat Ka Better Half. Throwing light on this topic we will see speaker Ashok Alexander, founder of The Antara Foundation, is using the principles of data, community, advocacy for mothers and children across India to counter infant mortality.

The Antara Foundation is today working on improving maternal and child health and nutrition in Rajasthan, through project Akshada; through Akshita in Madhya Pradesh; and Aadhya in Bagbahara, Chhattisgarh. His mission is to expand the Antara model to 2 more districts reaching out to 1.2 Lac pregnant & lactating women and 3.4 Lac under 5 children every year over the next three years. Talking about solutions to problems, host Shah Rukh Khan had an interesting take. He said, “We should ask the person whose problem it is for a solution. Since it is her own problem, we will get closer to it. I feel women can do everything and more beautifully than men.”

Shah Rukh Khan extends his happiness and support to Ashok Alexander for this work where he gives more power to small women’s group working together.
Watch TED Talks India Nayi Baat Saturday – Sunday at 9:30PM only on Star Plus.
