Yami Gautam : As An Actor, I Do Not Want To Do Anything Which Is Typical!
Yami Gautam who plays a lawyer in her upcoming film, the Shree Narayan Singh directorial Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is on a promotional spree these days. The pretty actress will don the avatar of a stern lawyer and will be seen locking horns with Shahid Kapoor’s character in the film so when we asked her if she was hesitant to work on this film knowing well that her character will not be the typical romantic lead, the actress said that, "As an actor I do not want to do anything which is typical. Not always will I get these opportunities where things are out of the box but trust me both Shraddha and I have a strong demarcation in our roles and we were both very comfortable with it. I really wanted to play the lawyer personally because first I never had done something like this and second, I was very well aware that the story was about three friends but it finally leads to the courtroom drama."
The actress further quoted that, "It is in the final courtroom in which my character Gulnaar has a pivotal part to play. It will really create a strong impact in the story and I’m quite secure as a person so these thoughts don’t bother me.’ The actress further added that her favorite movie based on a courtroom drama is the 1993 hit film Damini."

Batti Gul Meter Chalu revolves around the aftermath of the rising electricity bills in the rural areas and is all set to release on September 21st.
