Yash Shares Insights on Toxic : Script That Attracted Stars from Multiple Industries
Yash, who is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, recently shared insights about the film's unique ensemble cast in conversation with media. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is poised to deliver a mass entertainer with a gripping, organically developed narrative.

In the interview, Yash was asked about the cast and said, “Yes, there are strong women characters. That I can say. When we’re doing Toxic, it’s not a conscious effort that we’re bringing a lot of female characters. It’s not that. It’s organic. The drama we have in this film needs those characters.”

Toxic is a period drama centered on a drug cartel operating out of Goa. Superstar Nayanthara will lead alongside Yash. Toxic also features, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Shruti Haasan in key roles.

In an industry where individual stardom often dominates, gathering a multi-starrer cast from various cinematic backgrounds is no easy feat. Many stars, competing for space and visibility, often avoid sharing the spotlight. However, Yash aims to defy these industry norms with Toxic, blending intense action with an impressive ensemble cast. The film’s star lineup underscores a key truth: a powerful script can attract even the brightest talents.

“A lot of actors in this film, they have come together for a purpose. I don’t think it would have happened if the script was not that good,” Yash revealed. “In our country, I feel, we're not ready for that kind of setting where people feel comfortable and come in and play their role because all of them are really doing well in their careers and have their importance in their profession—all this publicity, positioning—there are a lot of things. In spite of that, if they've come together, it means it's for a purpose and it’s for a cause.”

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is written and directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
Meanwhile, Yash is also working on Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, where he is reportedly set to portray Raavan.
