Yashoda First Glimpse : Samantha Ruth Starrer Looks Everybit Mind-Bending Sci-Fi Thriller!

The first look of Samantha Ruth Prabhu's ‘Yashoda’ is out. Right off the bat, we are introduced to Samantha's character who wakes up disoriented by reality. The movie is directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, a movie duo known to write and direct India's First Viewpoint film, Orr Eravuu. A horror film that utilized shaky camerawork to shoot the entire movie from the protagonist's viewpoint. They also wrote and directed Tamil's first Stereoscopic 3D film, Ambuli in 2012 and Tamil's first Horror anthology film, Aaaah in 2014. They are in a league of their own. 

Pulagam Chinnarayana, famously known for winning the Nandi Award for Best Book on Telugu Cinema, is writing the dialogues for this movie. He will be accompanied by Challa Bhagyalakshmi. The dialogue and screenplay are in great hands, building the anticipation to an even higher degree.

Yashoda stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Unni Mukundan, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles. Samantha Ruth Prabhu who was last seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, a Tamil Romantic comedy has already established herself to be a promising performer. She is committed to the role she plays and that's reflective of her acting credits. Unni Mukundan who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema has a good hold over his cinematic characters, he was the face of Malayalam action-comedy, Mallu Singh. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is famously known for his performance in Vikram Vedha, Danny, and Podaa Podi. The star cast looks hopeful and full of potential.

The movie's plot is kept under the wraps but knowing Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, it will be a class apart act. The movie is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, under the banner of Sridevi Movies.

Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan are known to employ music to carry their plot forward and exhilarate the audience with a heavy background score. Yashoda's music is composed by Mani Sharma known for his niche in Film score, electronic, rock, fusion, blues, and Indian classical. 

Yashoda will also star Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru,Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, and Priyanka Sharma with Samantha Ruth Prabhu taking on the role of Yashoda, Unni Mukundan as Gautham and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will the play the part of Madhubala. The movie is set to be released on 12 August 2022 in Telugu while the dubbed version in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada will also be released on the same day.

The movie looks eye-arresting at first glimpse. We can only hope for a stirring sci-fi thriller from this venture.
