Dinesh Vijan: It Is A Very Natural And An Organic Gut Call Which We Have Taken!

It was reported a few days back that Ajay Devgn along with the entire team of Total Dhamaal will not be releasing the film in Pakistan in the wake of the horrifying Pulwama attacks. After this Producer Dinesh Vijan, founder of Maddock Films also announced that the film Luka Chhuppi which is the latest film to be releasing under the banner will not be released in Pakistan.

We recently got in touch with Dinesh Vijan where we quipped him to elaborate on this furthur. To this he said, 'What has happened is really horrific. We should all stand in solidarity with the martyrs of the attack. This is a very small thing that we have done. It is not always about any business. It was just an instant and gut reaction. I think is a very natural and organic gut call that we have taken. That’s the least that we as film people in the industry can do.'

He furthur added, 'Right now, more than analysing the situation, we should look at the future. Going by the sentiments now, I really don’t think anyone is interested. I think there was a statement too on banning Pakistani artistes. Besides, I guess we are also severing all the trade ties and not just entertainment.'

Dinesh Vijan's latest outing Luka Chhuppi stars Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The film is helmed by Laxman Utekar. It will be releasing on March 1st, 2019.
