Sharvari Celebrates Munjya’s Triumph Across Theatres, Streaming, and TV
2024 has been a breakout year for Sharvari, one of the most promising young actors in the industry. Her film Munjya has taken the box office by storm, crossing the 100-crore mark and featuring her standout solo dance performance in the song Taras. The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar as part of Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, has been a blockbuster across all three platforms—cinemas, streaming services, and satellite TV. It’s rare for a movie to achieve such a feat, but Munjya has done it all: racking up box office numbers, dominating streaming, and becoming the biggest TV premiere of 2024.

Sharvari expressed her joy over the film’s success, stating, “I’m really fortunate that Munjya has scored a hattrick of blockbusters on all three mediums - theatrical, streaming and satellite! For someone like me, reaching out to as many people as possible is very important at this stage of my career. So, the incredible success story of Munjya means my performance has reached so many people. It’s a huge result at the start of my career and I’m truly indebted to my producer Dinesh Vijan and my director Aditya Sarpotdar for choosing me to be in Munjya. This is nothing short of a dream come true and I’m still pinching myself about this.”

She went on to reflect on how Munjya has elevated her profile. “This year has been monumental for me, and Munjya has played a huge role in getting the attention I’ve craved as an artist. It’s rare for a film to connect so widely with audiences. To have it cross 100 crores in theatres, dominate OTT platforms, and top TV premiere charts—it’s proof that the film continues to resonate with people.”

Sharvari’s portrayal in the film, coupled with the energy of her dance number Taras, has been a major talking point, garnering both fan and critical praise. She shared, “The journey of Munjya has been remarkable. What makes it special is the personal love I’ve received, especially for Taras. I’m grateful to Dinesh Vijan sir for trusting me with the song, and I gave it my all. Watching audiences groove to it in theatres and seeing it become one of the top dance numbers of the year has been incredibly fulfilling.”

Concluding, Sharvari expressed her gratitude to the audience for their support, saying, “I’m beyond thankful for the love that Munjya and I have received. It’s only made me more excited for the future, and I’m committed to pushing my limits and delivering performances that connect.”

As Munjya continues to set records, Sharvari is already preparing for her next major project, Alpha with Alia Bhatt, part of YRF’s Spy Universe.
