Aahana Kumra Honored By United Nations Women!
Aahana Kumra who stunned the masses with her role in Lipstick under my Burkha has taken the world by storm with a smashing video for United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.

The video features Aahana and was concocted in collaboration with EIC that portrays the versatile role of women in society. The video comprises to be India's official entry in the UN to depict women as a preventer of hysterical mishaps and promoter of social cohesion. Comedians from Indonesia and Bangladesh joined hands to humorously scuffle on globally persisting issues like gender sensitive quandaries and patriarchy.
Aahana was formally invited on behalf of UN Women to participate in the conference which was held on 1st March 2018 at Ecozzeria, Tokyo, Japan. Aahana Kumra was a part of the conference for her out of the box endeavor in the video and as a exalt it was aired at the juncture.
Aahana says, “I’m very privileged to be a part of the UN Women for such an important cause for combatting extreme violence through humour. I was very happy to be collaborating with East India Company and Mythos Lab to be able to represent the condition on women in patriarchal societies. I believe humour is something that really hits hard and people can take to humour a little more easily with a pinch of salt compared to something more seriously told to them and the UN Women has taken a very great step, they collaborated with comedians from India, Indonesia and Bangaladesh. Also present at the event was Pekotaro who is a big star in Japan. It was a great experience as everyone discussed how humour is used as an element in order to leave a message against violent extremism that has been prevlent in our society.”
Aahana adds, “I was very greatful to the UN Women that they thought of inviting me as a guest for this cause because present against us were diplomats and Japan ministry. So it was a wonderful experience to share our experience with the Japanese audience and ministers.”
