Gully Boy Trailer: Fans Are Finding An Uncanny Resemblance Between The Film And Eminem's 8 Mile!
The trailer of the Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt released today and everyone is going gaga about it. Ranveer's rapping skills and Alia's bold demeanor is winning everybody's heart in the film. The film is based on the life of underground rappers Divine and Naezy. The film depicts the  journey of Ranveer Singh from being a street rapper to becoming a national sensation. 
But fans are finding an uncanny resemblance between the trailer of the film and the 2002 Hollywood film 8 Mile starring ace rapper Eminem. The story of the film chronicles Eminem's journey to fame as a rapper. Both the plot line depict the journey of the rappers struggling to pursue their dreams and achieving fame. 

The characters of Gully Boy and 8 Mile are also quite similar as they see, apart from the central protagnist, his abusive father, helpless mother and a supportive ladylove. The whole rap vibe is quite similar between the two films. In both the films, the main protagnist comes from a poor background but has high ambitions. What else? the twitterverse soon started comparing the two films. They soon started pointing out the similarities between the two films and concluded that the film could be inspired from 8 Mile. 
Well, the film does give some 8 mile vibe but the whole aura of Gully Boy truly looks unique and refreshing. Are you excited for the film?
