Judi Dench Calls Ali Fazal A Handsome Young Man In This Throwback Video!
Judi Dench and Ali Fazal made for a great lead pair in 2017 film Victoria and Abdul which marked the first ever for an Indian actor to essay a titular was role in a western flick. Ali did every bit justice to his role of Abdul Karim in this Stephen Frears directorial which was based on a book of real accounts penned by Sharbani Basu. 

Now in a video posted by Ali Fazal on his social media, we can hear the reasons given his director Stephen and the casting director of the Film on why they chose him for Abdul. Towards the end of the video, even Judi Dench showered the young actor with praises. 
She said -  “It was easy to imagine that me or my character of Victoria who was so tired  would look upto Ali, whos such a beautiful young man. It felt like finally there someone so lovely to look at.” Director Stephen Said, “There was something about his wide eyes which we couldn’t have found with someone born in England. When we met Ali and by the time he left, I knew Judi would like him, find him attractive, charming and likeable”.
