OMG! Did Shah Rukh Khan Opt Out Of The Rakesh Sharma Biopic For Farhan Akhtar's Don 3?
Well, the last year was not so positive for Shah Rukh Khan. His anticipated film Zero failed to do wonders at the box office which left him pondering on his future projects. Reportedly now the superstar has decided to opt out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic which was supposed to go on floors in few months. SRK has instead decided to team up with Farhan Akhtar for the third installment of the Don franchise. This truly has come as a shocking news.

Reportedly SRK has given a pass to Sare Jahan Se Acha and now the makers are looking for a new male lead for the film. If reports are to be believed, Farhan Akhtar's Don 3 is the prime reason behind this decision of Shah Rukh. And not to forget, Farhan also hinted at the Gully Boy trailer launch that he is going to make a big announcement soon. The announcement is reportedly about Don 3 only.
Before Shah Rukh Khan, it was Aamir Khan who was approached for the Rakesh Sharma biopic. He opted out of the project due to other commitments and recommended SRK's name. The film is based on India's first astronaut Rakesh Sharma and is directed by Mahesh Mathai. The film was supposed to go on floors in March reportedly. Well, it will be interesting to see which actor gets roped in to step in SRK's shoes for the film.
