Not even 5 films to his kitty and Siddhant Chaturvedi is a fan favorite. Right from his first gig to his first girlfriend, he has led a fascinating life with exceptional talent. As he turns 29 this year, here are 29 things you didn't know about him.

1. Is he a Chartered Accountant?
Siddhant Chaturvedi is one of the few actors who is a strong advocate of education. He has mentioned in several interviews regarding his love for acting but also stated why he still wanted to pursue his studies despite anything. He said in an interview, "Dad is a Chartered accountant and the family thought that was a safe career choice for me. I appeared for CPT (the CA entrance exam) but on the side, I was doing theatre when in college. I can’t explain but some kind of energy was always pulling me towards acting. So, I was acting in plays and even co-writing a few while studying for the exams. I used to attend CA classes from 7 am to noon, and from 2 pm to 5 pm I would be at rehearsals, returning home to revise my syllabus and my dialogue before going to bed. Since I was in the cultural department, attendance was never an issue, and anyway Bachelor of Commerce is an easy stream for someone doing CA." He further said "I’d become like Ranbir Kapoor ’s character in Tamasha so dad let me go for auditions with my theatre friends. I went for a lot of them and every audition was a learning experience."
Though Siddhant Chaturvedi didn't clear his CA due to a change in career, he was still a CA finalist.
2. A big time introvert
He is known to play characters that are outspoken and sociable, but in real life he often describes himself as an introvert.He said in an interview "I am not an adventurous person who enjoys attending music festivals I enjoy sleeping, eating mother's food, and hanging around." He said in another interview "I am so different from the roles I’ve played. I consciously choose films that challenge me. I’m actually a very boring (person). I’m an introvert.”
3. Pageantry
Out of 8,527 participants and 36 lakh votes, Siddhant Chaturvedi won Clean & Clear Times of India Fresh Face, which was held in Mumbai's St Xavier’s College. Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez crowned the winner, Siddhant Chaturvedi who was studying at Mithibai college at that time.
4. He got dumped before his auditions
"I remember telling her that I wanted to perform on stage and will make sure I reach there. And here I am.”
Siddhant Chaturvedi was in a committed relationship before he switched his career. He wanted to settle down with her, and she reciprocated his feelings till he chose acting. When he informed her about his decision to no longer pursue CA, she didn't respond well and shortly after that they broke up.
5. Face of Coca-Cola

Before venturing into the film industry, he first set foot in the advertisement industry. He was the face of Coca-Cola. His most popular advertisement for this brand will be the one featured in 2017. 6. Rejected for 6 years
Before he became our beloved MC Sher, Siddhant Chaturvedi revealed that he struggled for 6 years before he bagged a role. He would go on auditions but to no avail, all the while studying for CA. Chaturvedi being the determined wizard he is, didn't settle for anything less and kept on pursuing his goals. After 6 years people took notice of him and offered him advertisements.
7. Siddhant Chaturvedi's parents have watched Gully boy for 15 times.
The classic situation of parents wanting their kids to choose safe careers instead of gambling with their life. The entertainment industry is risky and uncertain. 8. He was choosy in picking roles
Usually we see newcomers jumping the gun to any opportunity presented to them, but our Chaturvedi is calculative and pragmatic while opting for roles. During an interview he revealed, "I have been saying ‘no’ more frequently than ‘yes’ and I understand some filmmakers may not take kindly to being turned down by a newcomer. Some expect me to say ‘yes’ without so much as giving me a script to read. But I have to make the right choices. I only get a limited number of chances,” he says. "I am swept off my feet when offered films originally written for bigger stars. That can’t be the reason to take a role. It has to be right for me”
9. Unlike reel life he is more of a Murad and has his own MC Sher!
Siddhant Chaturvedi won so many hearts by playing a fearless yet supportive friend who backs Murad every step of the way. After Gully boy's release, fans wanted their own MC Sher. Turns out the actor playing it already has one for himself. He considers his dad to be his MC Sher who has been a rock to him. He also credits Ranveer Singh and Zoya Akhtar to be real-life Sher and Sherni for him, and guiding him throughout his film journey.

After getting rejected for 6 years, Siddhant Chaturvedi was spotted by Luv Ranjan during his theater days. A youth oriented comedy series that ran for two seasons. Season 1 was streamed on YouTube and season 2 was streamed on Zee. It was well received and gave fame to Chaturvedi.

Shortly after starring in Life Sahi Hai, Siddhant Chaturvedi also bagged the role of Prashant Kanaujia in the sports-drama Inside edge. It was nominated for Best Drama series at the 46th International Emmy Awards.

Not many know this but Siddhant Chaturvedi shares a strong bond with the commerce stream. His father was a chartered accountant, and he too followed the same path of becoming one. During the wrap party of Inside edge, Farhan Akhtar spotted Chaturvedi for Gully Boy. It was the first time Chaturvedi was hesitant and declined his rejection streak. He under the banner of Excel entertainment signed Gully boy.

In 2019, Siddhant Chaturvedi dubbed for Chris Hemsworth's Men in black: International. He dubbed for the role of Henry / Agent H, a top agent in the MIB UK branch, played by Chris Hemsworth himself.

Siddhant Chaturvedi who is more of a long term relationship guy is said to be dating for a long time now. But later on, his family moved to Mumbai in a small apartment. He lived in Andheri where both his parents worked too. He attended Rajhans Vidyalaya where he couldn't communicate with other kids because of the language barrier, In an interview, he disclosed, “Initially, I couldn't have a conversation with kids at school because I could only speak Bhojpuri.”
But as time went by he had a good hold over Hindi and English. In the movie Gully Boy, we see him speak in Marathi too.

"When I read the script, the very first time I met Zoya I was like, 'Safeena is amazing yaar.' The character, I mean, and I could totally see Alia Bhatt do it. When I saw her play it, I was blown away. She is fantastic. She is my favourite character in the film. The grace with which Alia showed anger, kamaal hai."
He also admitted in an interview that he dated someone like Safeena too. His childhood love was 'possessive' about him.

25. His debut film is India's official entry to the Oscars
In 2019, Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, An underdog's story to the hero of his dream, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, was India’s entry to the Oscars. MC Sher is a well loved character in India.

"I am someone who has grown up watching Govinda’s films and this so my thing, the dancing and thumkas I can do it in my sleep and c’mon it is a large scale Yash Raj commercial film."
