The Trailer Of The Priya Prakash Varrier Starrer Sridevi Bungalow Is Being Called Insensitive And Offensive By The Netizens!
Priya Prakash Varrier who became an overnight internet sensation due to her wink scene in the Malayalam film Oru Aadar Love has been receiving a lot of love by the netizens. The actress is making her Bollywood debut with the film Sridevi Bungalow. But the trailer of the film is being labelled as insensitive and offensive by the netizens and we could not agree more with them. The trailer depicts the death of the legendary actress Sridevi but the makers have not confirmed the film as a biopic on her. Reportedly Boney Kapoor has also sent a legal notice to the makers of the film.

The trailer concludes with Priya Prakash Varrier who plays Sridevi in the film, lying to her death in the bathtub. Despite of looking pretty in the trailer, the actress is receiving a lot of flak for taking up the role. The actress has not cleared the fact whether the film is based on the life of the legendary actress Sridevi at the trailer launch. She stated that it is up to the audience to decide whether the film is based on the life of Sridevi. Priya said, 'You have to watch the film and decide if its a story related to her not.' She further said, 'will be playing the role of  lady superstar Sridevi in the film.' We are truly shocked and unhappy with this outright mockery of in the form of this film.
Priya was also quipped at the launch whether she is ready to give competition to Alia Bhatt and the other top actresses of the industry. To this she replied, 'First of all, I think they are all very senior actors and they are doing their work very well. I just want to do my thing and create a space for myself in this industry. People know me as a wink girl but what I want is that people accept me as an actress as a whole and not just about a wink.'

The film is directed by Prasanth Mambully and also stars Priyanshu Chatterjee in a pivotal role.
