9 Years Of 3 Idiots: Here's Looking Back At All The Elements Which Made This Film A Cult And Forever Immortal In Our Hearts!
Yes, you heard it right, This Rajkumar Hirani directorial film starring Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan is for many reasons still immortal in our hearts. There are several reasons for which this cult film which was based on the Chetan Bhagat novel 'Five Point Someone' became such a huge revolution. Apart from the stellar performances by the three main protagnists, further exemplary performances by Boman Irani, Omi Vaidya and Kareena Kapoor Khan added to the beauty of the film. And remember the still loved soundtracks from the film- Give Me Some Sunshine, All Is Well, Zoobi Doobi, Jane Nahi Denge and Behti Hawa? Yes, they will never get old. The film bagged three National Awards- Best Popular Film, Best SoundTrack, Best Dialogues.

So let us decode some of the main reasons why even after nine years, the film never feels old.

1- The Theme Of The Film
It was one of those gutsy films which dealt with the subject of the cut throat pressure and competition among students. The film had a hard hitting message that every individual should be allowed to follow their own path and dreams without having to carry the burden and expectations of their parents. Remember that heart wrenching scene when Joy (Ali Zafar) commits suicide because of the fear of expulsion or when Farhan's (Madhavan) parents finally allow him to quit engineering and pursue wildlife photography.

2- The Fresh Bromance And Realistic Take On Relationships
The endearing bromance between Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman's character was a treat to watch. They were a perfect example of no matter how tough life gets, if you have your friends by your side, nothing seems impossible. From gatecrashing weddings to attending classes while being drunk, they did it all. The film also had a realistic take on relationships as the love story between Rancho (Aamir Khan) and Pia (Kareena Kapoor Khan) was not a quintessential love story but something which we all could relate too and their romance seemed innocent and adorable at the same time

3- The Performances
The performances still remain one of the main highlights of the film. Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi were inevitably stellar in their acts but all the other cast members too delivered their best. Boman Irani as 'Virus' was a visual delight while Kareena Kapoor Khan was realistic in her act as Aamir's love interest. Not to forget, Omi Vaidya as the conniving Chatur won all our hearts in the film.

4- Some Iconic Scenes
Remember Aamir Khan explaining the mugged up definition of a machine or Chatur giving out a speech without realising its actual meaning? Or a student getting an electric shock while peeing when Rancho applies the 'Salt Water Is A Bad Conductor Of Electricity' and a woman delivering her baby with the help of a vacuum cleaner. There are some bewildering and iconic scenes in the film which boggled us out completely and added to the impact the film had on us.

So these were some of the main highlights this iconic film had on us. So what was your favorite moment from the film?
