Yash Raj Films has officially announced the release date for Mardaani 3, the much anticipated third installment of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated female-led action franchise. Starring Rani Mukerji as the fierce and fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy, the film is slated to hit theatres on Friday, February 27, 2026, just ahead of Holi.

The timing is symbolic, with Holi falling on March 4 in 2026, a festival that celebrates the triumph of good over evil. The makers are clearly aligning the spirit of the film with the festival’s message, teasing a gripping showdown between righteousness and dark forces.

Mardaani is the biggest solo female-led franchise in Hindi cinema that has garnered love and acclaim for over 10 years now,” the studio shared, highlighting the cult status the franchise enjoys.

The Mardaani series remains unmatched in India as the only blockbuster franchise led by a female cop, and with Mardaani 3, fans will once again see Rani Mukerji in an action-packed avatar.
