Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor And Radhika Apte Starrer Padman Makes A Jump Of 35% On Day 2!

After mesmerising the audience with his social drama 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', Akshay Kumar is back with yet another thought-provoking film 'PadMan' that deals with menstruation and sanitary hygiene. And the film is already garnering appreciations from all quarters.
PadMan' starring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte had a decent opening on Friday and minted about Rs 10 crore. PadMan showed a jump of around 35 % on Saturday ₹13.68 crores...which is very good...the film is being loved by women all across and family audiences also

Akshay plays the role of a simple villager who is on a mission to create a cheap and sustainable sanitary option that his wife and other women can use during their period. The film is based on Twinkle Khanna’s book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which in turn is inspired from the life story of Tamil Nadu-based social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham who pioneers the cause of low-cost sanitary napkins in India.
