Amyra’s Role Extended In Mental Hai Kya!

Amyra Dastur who received a lot of praise for her performance in the slice of life Rishi Kapoor starrer ‘Rajma Chawal’, has quite a busy year ahead with 4 Bollywood releases and 2 Tamil releases. Her first release, ‘Mental Hai Kya’ was supposed to come out in March and has now been pushed to a May/June release date. Apparently there was patchwork left to be shot and finished but now we hear that it was to shoot some fresh scenes to lengthened the screen time of Amyra Dastur’s character who is Rajkumar Rao’s love interest in the thriller. Amyra’s character plays a very important part in the development of both Kangana’s & Raj’s character, both the producers and director felt that the addition of scenes would help the audience relate to the actors in the film. 

When Amyra was asked she said, “working on this set is sort of like home for me. Shailesh Ji launched me in Issaq so I trust him blindly when it comes to the film. If he says I need to shoot more then so be it. It’s an absolute privilege for me to share screen time with such amazing and fine actors like Kangana ma’am and Raj sir. Kangana ma’am is someone who has and still inspires me, so being able to act with her even more feels amazing."

She adds, "This film is definitely going to shock and awe our audience especially because I truly feel that no one has seen this side of acting from the cast before.”
