AndhaDhun Review: AndhaDhun Will Keep You Wanting For More With Its Edge Of The Seat Adrenaline Rush And Some Fiery Performances!
Starring : Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, Radhika Apte
Directed By: Sriram Raghavan
3.5/5 Stars
The master of the nerve wrecking thrillers and some vicious dark tales Sriram Raghavan is back with another of his grimy and devilish dark comedy. Raghavan again proves why he rules this genre with this one. This will tickle your conscience with its deception, darkness and flimflam.

The intensity and perception of blindness is difficult to gauge but it very well forms the crux of this story. This latest outing of Sriram Raghavan is inspired by the 2010 French short film L'Accordeur / The Piano Tuner and provides a nerve wrecking story of terror, treachery and immorality with an edge of the seat adrenaline rush. There are some applause worthy scare moments which only paves the way for an exceptional screenplay.

The writing is done in an intelligent and articulate manner which brings in the greyish shades of the bold and undaunted characters in a captivating way. The macabre and riveting mood of the ongoing plot leaves you cautious but wanting more of the narration ahead. While Raghavan weaves the right amount of tensity, apprehension and slapstick comedy in the first half, the second half gets unnecessarily chaotic. The narrative in the second half could've been a little less baffling but a mind boggling climax eases out the disappointment.

Ayushmann is a visual treat and proves why he is the master of this genre with his phenomenal act. This is one of the most complex and masterful act. Tabu is like a breath of fresh air with her shady, grey and deceitful act. Radhika Apte looked beautiful but had no room to perform. Other supporting actors like Anil Dhawan, Ashwini Kalsekar and Chaya Kadam managed to impress. Amit Trivedi's music acts as an efficient riveting catalyst to the storyline. But at the end of the day, this is a tale which will haunt you, poke at your conscience leaving you wanting for more.
