Anek Trailer Review - A Thought-Provoking Story Backed With Ayushmann Khurrana's Riveting Performance
Ever since the trailer has dropped for Anubhav Sinha's Anek, there is a general discourse on movies that explore the civil and political situations of the country. People are heaping praise on Anubhav Sinha for consistently trying to pick up issues that force people to have difficult conversations, thereby opening up new discussions.

Anubhav Sinha's Anek travels on a similar path too. It tries to inspect subject matters which are pushed under the rug. Anubhav Sinha has planned to get to grips with another hard-hitting portrayal of the real-life situation of the country. From the trailer, we see him addressing the civil, political, and social conundrum in the North East. The story seems to be split between Ayushmann Khurrana who is on an undercover mission to find 'peace'. He looks incredible in this raw depiction. The other side will be led by Deeplina Deka, a boxer facing reservations while trying to represent India in this sport. The story, by the looks of it, materializes to show a raw unfiltered glance at the present situation.

Anubhav Sinha, Sima Agarwal, and Yash Keswani will cater to the writing aspect of the film. The dialogues in the trailer are impactful and promise better storytelling in the movie. Anubhav Sinha has already instituted his writing chops by bagging several awards like Best screenplay for Article 15 in the International Indian Film Academy awards. The screenplay and dialogues will stand out with certainty.

Mangesh Dhakde is the film's official music composer while the songs will be in collaboration with Anurag Saikia. Anubhav Sinha like his previous works will make it a point to have effective music that neither slows the narrative nor comes off loud and trashy.

Ewan Mulligan once again teams up with Anubhav Sinha to be in charge of the film's visuals and design. The trailer has used a split complementary color palette which draws attention to relevant details and focuses on the backdrop when required.

Anek will star Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, and J.D. Chakravarthy alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Andrea Kevichüsa, and Deeplina Deka in significant roles. This is Ayushmann Khurrana's second collaboration with Anubhav Sinha, they previously worked on Article 15 which too tackled issues worthy of attention.

Ayushmann Khurrana's acting capabilities need no introduction. He is a responsible artist who stays true to his craft. In the trailer we see him go toe to toe with the challenges his character faces. He has immersed himself into the part and is likely to be a strong pillar for the movie.

What was even more striking about Anek's trailer was an introduction to a character played by Deeplina Deka. She is about to play an aspiring boxer who is finding her place in the sports world all the while fighting the regressive prejudice.

This action thriller will be under the banner of T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks. It will be released in Hindi on 27 May 2022.
