1. Chakda Xpress

After 3 years of Hiatus, Anushka Sharma resumes shooting for her films. Anushka Sharma is set to take on the role of Jhulan Goswami, the former captain of the Indian national women's cricket team. This biopic will be a retelling of all the events which led her to become a part of the Indian squad.



Recently Anushka Sharma took to social media to unveil the teaser of the film. She wrote, "Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket. At a time when Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and make her country proud on the global stage, it was very tough for women to even think of playing the sport. This film is a dramatic retelling of several instances that shaped her life and also women’s cricket.”
Chakda Xpress is directed by Prosit Roy. The release date will be announced soon.



2. Kaun Pravin Tambe?

Pravin Tambe is an Indian cricketer who made his IPL debut at the age of 41 for the franchise of Rajasthan Royals. Pravin Tambe is a source of inspiration to anyone who doesn't let age define them. Shreyas Talpade will be seen as Pravin Tambe in this upcoming venture. The movie is set to release on 1 April 2022.



Directed by Jayprad Desai, Kaun Pravin Tambe? Further stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Parambrata Chatterjee, and Anjali Patil. It will be under the banner of Fox Star Studios, Friday FilmWorks, and Bootroom Sports.

In one of his media interviews, Shreyas mentions how the journey of the film was dramatic, further discussing how many surreal moments he shared while filming this movie.


3. Jersey

The much anticipated, Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey is set to release on 14 April 2022. This sports drama follows the lives of Arjun Talwar and his family as they make their ends meet while harboring the weight of unfulfilled dreams.

Shahid Kapoor will be seen as Arjun Talwar who was once considered to have a promising future in cricket, now lives partially unemployed with his wife and son. The story will center around his quest to fulfill his son's desire for a jersey.

Jersey stars Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Arjun's wife, Pankaj Kapur, and Ronit Kamra in pivotal roles. It's written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. It will be produced by Allu Entertainment, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments, and Brat Films.



4. Maidaan

Featuring Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, one of the finest footballers representing India who serves as an inspiration to many. He is often regarded as the architect of Indian football. Maidaan is a biographical sports film that will center around Syed Abdul Rahim and his contribution to the Indian Football team.

Directed by Amit Ravindernath, Sharma stars Aryann Bhowmik, Priyamani, and Rudranil Ghosh. A. R Raham who is selective about the projects he chooses is set to lend his voice to this film. It will be released on 3rd June 2022 under the banner of Zee Studios and Bayview Projects.



5. Creed III

Michael B. Jordan marks his directorial debut in Creed III. This will be the third installment in the Creed franchise. Creed will follow the character played by Sylvester Stallone. Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and Jonathan Majors will star in this installment.
