Ayushmann Khurrana: People Mocking Tanushree Should Be Banned From Their Social Media!
Posted on 03 Oct, 2018
The recent Tanushree Datta controversy wherein the actress has accused actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment has created an uproar in the entire film industry. While many A-listers have remained mum on this subject, many have voiced their opinion and came in support of Tanushree Datta. Recently actor Ayushmann Khurrana who is on a promotional spree for his upcoming film AndhaDhun broke his silence on the ongoing controversy.
The actor said, "I think people should not react in such a way questioning why she was quiet for so many years. I think a person has the right to speak up if anything wrong happens with him or her. Both the parties should have an equal right to justify their stories. We talk of woman empowerment, gender equality so I think Tanushree should have the right to voice out her stand. The people trolling her on social media should be banned from social media. But at the same time, both the parties should have the equal right to justify their stand."
Well we appreciate Ayushmann's statement. While many members of the film fraternity have avoided the question, the actor had a fair take on the ongoing controversy.
