Mahatma Gandhi once said 'There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.' Its a matter of thought that even the crux of our stock market thrives in this saying. Innumerable people invest in this unpredictable world of share market with the dream of making it big. Baazaar deals with this notion when in the big bad world of share market, money clashes with your conscience. This is the right kind of film for those who are very much infatuated with the world of money, shares, economics and how it has the capability to alter your life in the most unpredictable way. But it is Saif Ali Khan who completely steals the show in this one. His character is wily, suave, slick and intriguing all in the right way. Let's say the film offers its own set of an adrenaline rush in the most engaging way.

The film is made in a glossy and polished manner. The film has chronicled the thriving of the rich businessmen, stockbrokers, and huge corporations in a very realistic manner. Shruti Gupte has done a splendid job with the fine nuances of the production design. The background score by John Stewart Eduri adds to the adrenaline rush and pace of the story. The mood and setting for the plot to move forward is realistically created by the director Gauravv K Chawla.

The writers Parveez Sheikh and Aseem Arora have done a fine job but the writing could have been a little more finite. Some moments look and feel too predictable and monotonous in parts. The second half of the film seems more engaging comparatively. Saif Ali Khan as the shrewd and ruthless Shakun Kothari picks up the nuances of the Gujarati language and the aura fluently. His opulence and lifestyle is created in a slick and flawless manner. The characterization is done in an intricate manner as all the characters in the film have a certain grey shades in them and they seem to thrive on their flaws. Each and every character acts as a catalyst in the story. However the timings of the soundtracks in the film seemed to be a little careless.

Saif Ali Khan steals the show as Shakun Kothari with his suave, shrewd, slick and ruthless act in this one. He will amaze and terrify you at the same time. The complexities in his character adds to its beauty. Rohan Mehra in his debut venture is quite impressive. There is a fine balance in his performance. Radhika Apte displayed another bold and confident act with this one. Chitrangda Singh looked beautiful and endearing but should have been given more room to perform.

Baazaar highlights the sense of betrayal, manipulations and unpredictability of the stock market in the most brutal manner. The screenplay could have been more efficient as the movie seemed a little stretched out at the end. But experience this film to relive the world of money, stocks, power, shares and investments after a long period of time.
