The legacy of Ramanand Sagar’s iconic "Ramayan" is etched in Indian television history. The show redefined entertainment and turned Doordarshan into a household name. Now, Sagar World Multimedia collaborates with the channel once again, unveiling a new tale that’s set to captivate audiences across the nation.

In an exciting partnership, the team behind "Singham Again" has crafted an engaging promo for "Kaakbhushundi Ramayan," which is set to air on Doordarshan. This series aims to illuminate the epic with a new perspective, promising audiences a spectacular visual journey that will remain unforgettable.

Evoking nostalgia, "Kaakbhushundi Ramayan - Untold Stories" combines high-tech VFX and evocative music, creating a culturally rich experience that’s enhanced by cutting-edge technology. Produced by Sagar World Multimedia, the show premieres on Doordarshan (DD1) on 18th November 2024, airing Monday to Friday at 7:30 PM.



Creative director and producer Shiv Sagar expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "We are thrilled to bring these untold stories from Ramayan and present it in an interesting manner for the audiences to have an unforgettable experience. The series is an amalgamation of advanced techniques, mega scale of production, impressive music and discovering some facts that we have been unaware of."

Shiv Sagar, grandson of the late Dr. Ramanand Sagar, who originally brought the epic to television in 1987, leads this new venture. Back then, "Ramayan" became the world’s most-watched series, with a viewership surpassing a billion and airing in over 65 countries since its debut on 25th January 1987.

Sagar World Multimedia, under Shiv Sagar’s direction, continues the tradition of powerful storytelling. His father, Prem Sagar, the marketing director of Sagar Arts and an award-winning cinematographer, directed the acclaimed series "Vikram Aur Betal" in 1985, which paved the way for "Ramayan" by pioneering this unique genre.
