Farhan Akhtar: When I First Read The Sky Is Pink's Script, I Felt Like It Was An Important Story To Be Told!
Farhan Akhtar is busy shooting for his upcoming sports drama Toofan where he'll be playing the role of a boxer. The actor's recent release The Sky is Pink received critical acclaimed and also touched millions of hearts for its simple and moving storyline.

In an interview with a leading daily, when asked about why he chose The Sky is Pink Farhan shares "When I first read the script, I felt like it was an important story to be told. The response that we got for the film at the Toronto International Film Festival was overwhelming".

The actor further explained how the film made a huge impact on the audience, "Even after the release of the film here, I had a lot of parents who reached out to me and said that they felt like they were part of the Chaudhary family’s journey. This, for me, is the biggest validation and I am satisfied with whatever the film has done.”
The multi-talented actor has undergone a massive body transformation and is taking boxing lessons from professionals to nail his character.

Recently, Farhan had suffered a hand injury, and instead of taking a break he is continuing shooting for the movie. The actor shared his first look from Toofan some time ago and took the world by a storm. This is his second film with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after Bhag Milkha Bhag.

Toofan is an Excel Entertainment Production in Association with ROMP Pictures, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and is slated to release on 2nd October 2020.
