Posted on 06 Mar, 2019
Recently, on the occasion of Mahashivratri, the makers of the film Brahmastra released the much awaited logo of the film at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj before which around 150 drones lit up the sky to create the logo. Alia Bhatt also took to her social media to release the official logo of the film and captioned it saying,
According to Indian mythology, Brahmastra is the weapon of Lord Brahma and has the power to destroy the universe. The weapon is the most dangerous weapon of the universe and once a Brahmastra is released, it cannot be taken back.
The Brahmastra along with the Brahmashirsha were weapons created by Brahma who is the creator of the universe and it is said that these weapons have the power equivalent to the modern day nuclear and atomic bombs. In the video, we can see Amitabh Bachchan explaining to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt about the mystery surrounding the Brahmastra symbol.
When Ranbir asks Big B that why he is able to see the Brahmastra, he replies saying, 'Kyunki tum Brahmastra ki aakhri ladai sejode hue ho’ which means that he is connected with the fight to save the universe. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor plays Shiva and Alia Bhatt plays Isha.
Shiva is known as the Destroyer in the Hindu mythology. Lord Shiv is the one who protects the universe in the Indian mythology even when it comes to sacrificing himself at some instances. Hence Ranbir Kapoor essaying this role is related to him connected with the epic battle of protecting the universe.
The film also stars Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna. The film is directed by Ayan Mukherji and it is the first part of the sci-fi trilogy. It will be releasing on December 20th, 2019.
