International Music Day : Ayushmann Khurrana on Staying True to His Creative Expression Through Music
Posted on 01 Oct, 2024
Bollywood actor and singer Ayushmann Khurrana has consistently stood out for his unique approach to both films and music, blending versatility with a signature style. Known for his soulful melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, Ayushmann has carved a niche for himself in the music world, gaining global recognition with recent hits like 'Akh Da Taara', 'Reh Ja', and the freshly released 'Jachdi'. On International Music Day, Ayushmann reflected on his creative process and shared insights into his evolving journey in music.
Ayushmann's approach to music mirrors his philosophy in film, breaking away from conventional formulas. "Like my movies, my music isn’t formulaic. I don’t conform as an artist and I would not like to do so ever," he explained. "I have tried to stay true to my sense of creative expression through music, and I’m happy that people have accepted it and given me so much love."
He expressed his excitement about constantly exploring new avenues with his music. "Every time I make music, it will be different, disruptive, and extremely varied. That’s what’s exciting for me to create something new every single time and not follow trends. I’d rather set a trend if possible. My movies and music will always reflect this belief."
Discussing his latest track, 'Jachdi', Ayushmann highlighted his willingness to push boundaries. "Music has been my constant companion through the highs and lows of my life. 'Jachdi' is an example of stepping out of my comfort zone, blending Punjabi tunes with Garba beats. The energy of the dhol and upbeat pop Punjabi perfectly captures the festive spirit, and I hope people groove to it this Navratri season." He expressed gratitude for the love he's received for both his music and films, adding, "I’m fortunate to find this love for both music and movies, and I thank everyone for their continued support in my artistic endeavors."
As Ayushmann continues to experiment and evolve, his fans can look forward to more fresh, innovative content that defies expectations and inspires creativity.
