Kaakbhushandi Ramayan: Lord Hanuman’s Infinite Devotion to Lord Ram Shines in the Latest Episode
The recently launched Kaakbhushandi Ramayan, which offers a nostalgic journey through ancient tales while uncovering lesser-known stories from the epic, made a grand debut yesterday. The first episode captivated viewers with its depiction of the fierce battle between Lord Ram’s vanar (monkey) army and Ravan’s demon forces. The action intensified with the entry of Virochak, a massive demon from the netherworld, who wreaked havoc among the vanaras. Overwhelmed with fear, the vanaras prayed for salvation. Responding to their cries, Hanuman took a colossal form, carrying Lord Ram and Lakshman on his shoulders to face Virochak. The battle ended with Lord Ram and Lakshman vanquishing the demon.

Meanwhile, atop Lanka, Malyavan observed the unfolding events. Witnessing Virochak’s fall, he rushed to inform Ravan, who was in his ten-headed form worshipping Goddess Nikumbhila. Though Ravan was prepared to join the battle himself, Malyavan advised against it, suggesting that his son Meghnad’s presence was enough. Meghnad ascended into the sky on his mystical chariot, challenging Lord Ram and Lakshman from above.

Tonight’s episode showcased gripping drama as Meghnad uses illusionary warfare to bewilder the vanar army. Despite Lakshman’s efforts to strike him with arrows, Meghnad remains untouchable. Hanuman volunteers to destroy Meghnad and his illusions but is stopped by Lakshman, who declares, “Meghnad has challenged the Suryavanshis, and thus, I must be the one to slay him.”

Meghnad, with help from Nagmata Kadru, invokes serpents into his Nagastra and proclaims, “There is no counter to this Nagastra in the world. It will ensnare you in its coils, and the venomous serpents within it will bring about your end.” As Vibhishan warns of the Nagastra’s deadly power, Meghnad unleashes it, binding Lord Ram and Lakshman in its coils and rendering them unconscious.
