Kalank: Madhuri Dixit And Sanjay Dutt Reveal Their Experiences On Working With Each Other After 22 Years!

The Abhishek Varman directorial film Kalank is one of the most anticipated films of the year and it is all the more exciting as it marks the reunion of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit after 22 long years. The film is set in the 40s era and also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles. The teaser has been given a thumbs up by the masses. But inevitably the most exciting aspect about the film is the coming together of Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt after such a long time. They were last seen together in the 1997 film Mahanta. 

Kalank will see them coming together after many years. At the teaser launch of the film today, the duo were asked on their experience with working with each other after such a long time. Madhuri replied on this saying, 'I think I'm working with Sanjay Dutt after more than 20 years and also recently, I worked with Anil Kapoor after many years. It's always wonderful to work with the co-actors you have worked with before. I think it's been wonderful.' Sanjay Dutt also added saying, 'I felt good working with Madhuri Mam and I will try ki aur zyada kaam ho.' Well, we cannot wait to see this legendary pair back onscreen again.

To this Varun also added amusingly, 'I have observed this on set that I obviously call Mam when addressing Madhuri Dixit but even Sanjay Dutt calls her as Mam.' To this Alia said to Varun, 'So you learn something from him and start calling me Mam.' Varun then went on to tell her, 'I will call you Ma'. We found their banter super adorable.

Sanjay Dutt plays the grand patriarch Balraj Chaudhry while Madhuri Dixit will essay the lovely courtesan Bahaar Begum in the film. It will be releasing on April 17th, 2019.
