Kangana Ranaut's Emergency Gets a Special Review By 96 Year Old Emergency Witness, Aruna Vaingankar
Meet 96-year-old Mrs. Aruna Prabhakar Vaingankar from Mumbai, a living witness to the Indira Gandhi-imposed Emergency era. Surprised by her children with tickets to Kangana Ranaut's directorial film Emergency, Mrs. Vaingankar attended the movie along with her son Mukul, who was in his early 20s during that tumultuous period.

Mrs. Vaingankar, who worked with the Indian Railways from 1949 until her retirement in 1986, has also witnessed the Quit India Movement and was an active volunteer at Kranti Maidan, Mumbai.

We had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Vaingankar at the noon show of Emergency in Juhu. Graciously agreeing to share her thoughts, she spoke about her experiences during that time and provided her perspective on the film.

Kangana Ranaut directorial & starrer Emergency released on 17th Jan is receiving rave reviews for its crisp storyline, fine direction and strong performances. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman & Vishak Nair in prominent roles.
