Katrina Kaif Spills The Beans On Playing A Troubled And Alcoholic Superstar In The Film Zero!
Katrina Kaif is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Zero. The actress plays an alcoholic and troubled superstar in film Zero. Portraying an intense and troubled character often takes a toll on one's mental stability.

So, when we quipped the actress on whether this role was emotionally straining on her, here's what she replied. She said, "There are many similarities to what Babita is going through in terms of what people go through in general which is what Aanand L Rai is trying to say. Its a story of three incomplete people who are incomplete for different reasons. Bauua (SRK) 's vertically challenged, Anushka has a physical limitations and Babita has an emotional disability."

She further added, "My character in the film is incapable of feeling peaceful and feeling the love that she is so yearning for. It is the journey of three incomplete people trying to be on the path of being complete."
Katrina went on to say, "This has definitely been one of my challenging role. I would feel very relieved when the schedule was over because this was shot in three or four schedules. It was hard for me when I was getting into the schedule because as human beings we all like to escape things like these, nobody holds on to this self destructive mode purposely because they are in so much pain that they just want to destroy themselves. This is exactly what my character is doing. Not in a very ugly manner, but she is on a very self destructive path. She is not prepared to listen to anyone and to play a character like that you have to draw off from your own emotional bank of feelings."

Futher talking about the similarities she shares with her character, she said, "The character traits are different. I am poles apart from Babita. She's very confrontational, aggresive and is drinking very openly. She will say exactly what she feels. But all these things make her endearing and nice to watch. People like to see people fight for themselves. They don't like to see people feeling sorry for themselves. "

Katrina Kaif will star opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the film with whom she is reuniting after the film Jab Tak Hain Jaan. The film will be releasing on December 21st.
