Laila Majnu Impresses The Filmmakers!

Laila Majnu will weave out one of the most timeless love sagas of all time on the screen. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap held its first preview recently and many of Bollywood’s renowned directors attended this preview and gave a thumbs up to the film, appreciating the performance of the lead protagonists portrayed by Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwary as well as director Sajid Ali.

According to a leading publication, director Rajkumar Hirani said, "Both Avinash and Tripti were fantastic and it didn’t feel like this is their debut film. Romance runs in Imtiaz’s family, and we can see that in the manner Sajid has helmed this love saga."

Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane said that, “I loved the film. It has got a lot of soul, the actors are amazing, the music is impressive and the songs are beautiful.”

Abhisekh Chaubey also appreciated the film saying, “I really enjoyed it. The lead actors are impressive and I am sure that the audience is in for a sweet surprise.”

Lastly Anurag Kashyap tweeted saying,

The film is written and presented by Imtiaz Ali and directed by his brother Sajid Ali. It is produced under Balaji Motion Pictures and Preety Ali’s PI films and will release on September 7th.
